Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to apply for this scholarship are as:

  • You must be a citizen of an ADB member country.
  • The applicants have dual citizenship and are not eligible.
  • You must have a bachelor’s degree at a designated institution.
  • You must have 2 years of professional full-time work.
  • You must be under 35 years at the time of applying.
  • You must be proficient in the English language.
  • The express approval from the Government of Japan
  • The applicant must be in good health.
  • You must agree to go to your home country after your studies.
  • ADB-JSP is not staff of designated institutions.
  • The Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, Management, Staff and Consultants of ADB, must not be close relatives of the above-mentioned by blood or adoption, as close relatives like: spouse, mother, step-daughter, mother, father, stepfather, sister, stepsister, brother, stepsister, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew;
  • Not currently enrolled in Graduate degree.

Financial Coverage

  • The scholarship covers the following benefits 
  • All Tuition Fees are covered by the scholarship.
  • The candidates living costs also. 
  • You get the benefit of an Airfare Ticket from your Home country to Japan and Japan to your Home country
  • Health and medical insurance are also provided by the scholarship.
